Arrrggh… right after sending out an email announcing this blog to our family and friends, the site goes down. It happens more often than it should for the money we’re paying for hosting. But it was terrible timing this time, as evidenced by the flood of emails saying people couldn’t get to the blog. Anyway, it’s back now, hopefully to stay.

I made a few changes today. I added the fetus ticker (that’s what I call it anyway) at the top–thanks to Ryan and Kelly Portnoy for the idea. Fresh Flickr photos will show up in the sidebar. The ones in there right now are from our pilgrimage to Mt. Vernon this weekend. Also, our other sites are listed in the sidebar, too.

Now that I’ve reluctantly been dragged into the blogosphere by Julie, I’m finding it kind of fun. I’m sure that will wear off by around tomorrow afternoon. But really, what’s better than talking about yourself nonstop to anyone who will listen?

For those of you who don’t know, we are having a BABY!

We finally have a blog. Everyone keeps asking us when are we going to join myspace or facebook or xanga, but it just isn’t our thing…no offense to those of you who do it. I always enjoy reading my friend’s blogs. So now that we have a baby on the way, we thought this would be the best way to update everyone on what is going on.

I’m almost 9 weeks along and feeling definitely pregnant. Everyone says after the 1st trimester things will get better. I sure hope so. But Seth and I feel blessed that God gave us this little one…and he/she is definitely little…just a little over a half of an inch now, but has everything an adult has…just needs to grow. Isn’t that amazing! God already knows this little one and that is one of the most amazing things to me.
The baby was a bit of surprise, but definitely a welcome surprise.

So we will be sure to keep you posted on “Baby Nick”. Since we don’t know if it is a boy or girl, right now the name will be “Baby Nick.”
