It’s a…boy!

Well, just see for yourself! It's a Boy!

The “turtle” is the evidence!
Profile

Cute profile of our little boy…with his daddy’s lips. :)
Body

Entire body…those are his feet by his head.
Yawning The Scream

I guess he was getting bored with us, b/c this is him yawning. We thought there was a strong resemblance to a certain painting.

We got a very good report of our little guy. Well, not so little…he is 14oz already. But everything looks good. It was the best birthday present.

More details later.

Week 20…and the big day coming soon!

I’m halfway there!!! This is very exciting! Tomorrow is the BIG DAY where we get to see our baby’s adorable face and cute little body. It is also my 27th birthday tomorrow, so it will be the best present ever! Seth and I can’t wait to find out if we are having a boy or girl! We will post it asap for everyone.

Here is what is happening this week: (babycenter.com & pregnancy.org)
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She’s also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom, and about 10 inches from head to heel. (For the first 20 weeks, we use measurements taken from the top of the baby’s head to her bottom — known as the “crown to rump” measurement. After that, we use measurements from head to toe. This is because a baby’s legs are curled up against her torso during the first half of pregnancy and are very hard to measure.)

A greasy white substance called vernix caseosa coats her entire body to protect her skin during its long submersion in amniotic fluid. (This slick coating also eases the journey down the birth canal.)

Your baby is swallowing more, which is good practice for her digestive system. She’s also producing meconium, a black, sticky substance that’s the result of cell loss, digestive secretion, and swallowed amniotic fluid. This meconium will accumulate in her bowels, and you’ll see it in her first messy diaper (although a few babies pass it in utero or during delivery). Your baby may startle in reaction to loud sounds.

Amazingly, she can actually hear noises outside of the womb. Familiar voices, music, and sounds that baby becomes accustomed to during her development stages often are calming after birth.

We made the cover story!

We couldn’t believe it! Me and my mom on the front page of the newspaper. We had no idea the photo would be the size of an 8×10 picture. My mom couldn’t believe she was wearing a sweatshirt that day, she kept telling me… “Of all days, I never wear a sweatshirt.”

Here is the article. It is probably hard to read and hopefully they will have it posted online at potomacnews.com soon. (By the way, we hopefully find out the sex of the baby on Tuesday for everyone who keeps asking us.) :)
