Our little Queen

Queen Victoria is what we like to call her. She is the prettiest baby girl you will ever see. She is a sweetheart and laughs all the time. These were taken this weekend. Isn’t she getting so big!

Week 24

This weekend was much better then last weekend, considering we didn’t have to spend it in a hospital. Seth and I got so much accomplished in the house, esp. since we got snowed in on Sunday. We have almost finished our Taxes! Thank goodness Seth really enjoys filing our taxes, b/c he also has to file my business taxes. But he does such a great job!

Baby Nick has now completely taken over my stomach. He is now kicking my ribs. He may have moved from his breech position, since I feel what seems to be feet kicking my ribs. He did lots of jumping jacks last night and kept me up for 2 hours!

Here is what is happening this week: (babyzone.com & pregnancy. org)

(No wonder I have been so hungry…he is putting on the weight. I like to call him my little tank.)

Bring on the bulk! Baby gains about 6 ounces this week. The weight is in muscle, bone mass and organs. His body begins to fill out with his appearance increasingly becoming more like a newborn. This week your baby is officially considered viable. Baby weighs 1.3 to 1.5 pound and almost a foot long! His his body is filling out proportionally and he’ll soon put on more baby fat. Your baby’s skin is thin, translucent, and wrinkled and his brain is growing rapidly. Taste buds begin to form. If mom drinks something strange or bitter, baby may be observed showing his distaste. Little creases have appeared on his palms. The muscular coordination of his hands has improved as he sucks his thumb. Over the next seven days the sweat glands will be forming in the skin. His lungs are developing “branches” of the respiratory “tree” and cells that produce surfactant, a substance that helps the air sacs inflate easily. Rapid eye movements are beginning! The eyes open and shut frequently, and his eyebrows and eyelashes are present. This little wonder is moving a great deal these days. Take a bath and watch your belly roll!

We’ve been slacking…

I know, I know…so the PregCam needs to be updated, but I don’t really want to show the world my large tummy. No, but I will since it looks like I will disappoint so many of you. We promise to get some new pics up this weekend. Life has been crazy for us, so that is our excuse.

I’m pretty sure Baby Nick is having another growth spurt this week. I know he is constantly growing, but some weeks he feels like he puts on more weight then others. This week I have been hungry 24/7. Literally, he has been getting me up in the middle of the night to eat. I think he is preparing me for when he comes here and is up during the night. He also refuses to let me fall asleep…that is his playtime. Even daddy Seth is shocked at how strong our son is getting. We just don’t understand how someone so small can already have that strong of a kick!

Another day of organizing. Happy Friday!
