to Colonial Beach for our mini vacation!
Have a great weekend!

Ok. Everyone the PregCam is back. Our computer was having some issues so we weren’t able to upload any photos. Calm down. My pregger self is back. I can’t believe I ever let Seth talk me into this. Every week it still surprises me how big I am getting. Let’s take a look back on memory lane…b/c I sure forgot what it feels like to be thin.

This is our very first PregCam photo. I was 4 weeks along. I had just told Daddy Seth the night before. Isn’t he such a good sport! He starting taking photos the very next day.
And here is me now!
I realized the other night that we haven’t taken a family photo of the “3 of us”. So, here is one of the first of many family photos. (We had to take them ourselves, since there was no one else around) Seth was like, “Can’t we just wait till we can get someone to take it” and I was having one of my pregnancy moments where I wanted it done right at that instance…so they aren’t the best quality.

Time is flying. I can always tell in the mornings when baby Nick has packed on a few ounces. This weekend was definitely a growth spurt for him. Some days I feel great and other days it is so hard to walk up the stairs.
The weekend , as always, went by too fast. We did get to play poker with some friends on Friday night, but most of it was spent watching our College Basketball teams lose and working on video projects. But we did splurge on Sunday and went to one of our favorite restaurants by the water. It is called Tim’s Rivershore (www.timsrivershore.com) and if you haven’t been, you need to go. You literally feel like you are on a little island somewhere. You would NEVER believe it is in Woodbridge, VA.
Here is what is happening this week: baby-gaga-com & pregnancy.org:
By this week, your baby weighs a little over 2 pounds and measures about 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can open her eyes — which now sport lashes — and he’ll turn his head toward a continuous, bright light from the outside. His fat layers are beginning to form, too, as he gets ready for life outside the womb.
You know how you’ve been feeling a bit like a barn with legs some days? Well, that feeling won’t subside before… well, you know, when you finally give birth. For the time being, you’ve got yourself a baby in the business of collecting fat and lots of it! In spite of the dubious joys of being a barn, this baby fat business is very serious and you’ve got to put up with it, because it’s going to keep your little porker warm and healthy after birth. Other good stuff from inside: their eyes are doing lots of blinking this week because they’re now able to respond to light and dark. His muscle tone is improving. He can now recognize your voice. Also, their industrious little bone marrow is now a major construction site for developing red blood cells, while their super-cute adrenal glands are actually producing androgen and estrogen—which will stimulate your hormones to begin milk production. Can you say, “Moo?â€

I really can’t believe how nice some people can be. Yesterday, I was working from home all day and when I finally left the house at 4:30 to go babysit my niece & nephew, I opened the door to a wonderful surprise. Someone left a bag of brand new baby boy clothes on our door knob, but there was no note. It was a complete surprise and humbling to know that there are such wonderful people out there. If the very kind person who left the adorable baby clothes reads this blog, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. That is one of the sweetest things anyone has done for us.
So, onto my next blessings…my niece and nephew. I’m a proud Auntie. They are such precious little children. I got to babysit last night. This was the first time leaving me alone with the Queen. Things were going grand at first. We watched her brother and friends play outside. She loves watching him. It is amazing how she already knows which one is her brother. She wouldn’t take her eyes off him. Then 30 minutes into it…. the crying begins. Kate said she wouldn’t be hungry for another 15-20 min. So, I thought maybe I should check her diaper since she was passing gas the whole time we were outside. Yep, that was it. Dirty diaper # 1. She stopped crying. I thought, I’m in the clear. No such luck. As i was changing her she decided to pee everywhere. (There goes that outfit) and the crying begins again. I decided to leave her in just her diaper since that is what she prefers. That didn’t work, the crying continued. I had to cave and give her the bottle. Then the water wouldn’t boil fast enough. As every minute passed, her crying got louder. As soon as I stuck that bottle in her mouth, she immediately stopped crying and gobbled up that milk so fast that I was praying those 3 oz would fill her up. No such luck. The second the last drop was gone, she started crying again. (Am I really ready for all this???) Then I hear more explosive gas. I thought, are you joking? Do you really have another dirty diaper? Why yes, she did. After I changed that one, I left her completely naked and she was very content until her parents came home. I made it through. Wow, that was a really good dose of what is to come. Thankfully, Josh was a sweetheart and helped me with her.
Off to work….photo organizing. I love my job!
