I had my 35 week check-up yesterday and Baby Nick is doing great. So great that the mid wife couldn’t believe how active he was. When she was taking his heartbeat, my entire stomach was moving left to right. She finally understood the pain that he is putting me through. The good news, he has dropped into position and my cervix is softening. YAY! He is getting ready for his big day!
I am scheduled for an induction on June 15th that is if Baby Nick hasn’t come before that. I am really hoping he does, because I would rather him come on his own.
I plan on working till the end of the month, just 2 ½ more weeks…I think I can do it. My feet are extremely swollen and it is so hard to find the time to put them up. But I’ll manage, it is ALL almost over. We just need him to wait till after this weekend. We have our birthing class (yes, we are late taking it) and our photo shoot with Allison. We just need those 2 things to happen, and then he can come.
We are taking our birthing class so late because we are taking the refresher course. I know, I know, we haven’t done this before, but I have been a Lamaze coach and seen 2 live births and Seth has pretty much read every pregnancy book out there. We just didn’t want to waste 5 precious nights and $100s of dollars to attend these classes. So we opted for the refresher course for one morning for 3 hours for only $50. We got a letter confirming our class and it stated “This is not for first time parents. You should not be attending if this is your first child”. Well, what are they really going to do, kick us out? I just told Seth not to ask questions and I’ll answer them later.
We are counting down the days in the Nickerson household.
