Our Pediatrician wanted us to come back this week to make sure Abel passed his birth weight. Last week he was 7lbs 2oz (His birth weight was 7lb 2.5oz) Well, he sure passed it alright. He now weighs 8lbs 1oz. I was shocked. I can’t believe he gained 15oz in one week. That is over 2oz a day! I thought he was an eating machine last week and now I know he really was! We are very happy that our little guy is healthy and living up to his nickname “the tank”.
I’m realizing I can’t eat certain foods…or else I pay for it later…as in Abel keeps me up all night. I already learned that he doesn’t like Mexican food (which is sad, b/c I LOVE it) and I just realized he doesn’t like garlic either. I had garlic 2 nights in a row and boy was that a mistake! So, needless to say, my diet these days is really boring.
On a different note, I wanted to write a “Happy Father’s Day” post and I never got to it. So here is a late “Happy Father’s Day” to my wonderful husband, Seth! He is the most amazing dad. I knew he would be, but to actually see him interacting with Abel gives me such overwhelming joy. I didn’t know I could love Seth more, but after how amazing he was as my birth coach and now as a father, I do love him even more. I will always love watching the two of them together. Here are some pictures from Father’s Day.

Now, just some gorgeous shots of our little man:
