Family Pics

I love watching Abel & Seth together. It doesn’t get much better then watching your husband love on his son.

Doesn’t he have the most gorgeous profile?

And here is his cousin, Victoria, or as I call her “Queeny” loving up on Abel. She loves him so much. When she sees him she kicks her feet with excitement and when he cries she makes a noise back, like she is talking to him.

And I will leave you with Abel’s precious feet!

Post-Pregnancy Problems

Everyone told me that once the baby leaves your body all that swelling will go away immediately. Ummmm….not so much. For the first week after Abel was born, my feet were so swollen you would have thought I was 400lbs if you just looked at my feet. My hands and feet have been swollen since I was 7 months pregnant. My feet went back to normal a week after labor…although I think they are a good 1/2 size bigger now. Now my hands…that is a whole different story. Who knows when I will ever get that precious diamond stone back on my chubby ring finger. The day after Abel was born, I felt weird numbness and tingling in my left hand. I thought, no big deal it will go away. Right? WRONG!!! It is still lingering and at night when I get up to feed Abel it throbs. My OB was a little confused and told me I should go to the doctors. So off I went. The result…still waiting. He was a bit confused himself. He ruled out carpal tunnel, which I assume is good news. They drew my blood and took ex-rays of my hands and are sending me to see a Rheumatologist. Stay posted for the results….

Before I left for my appointment, I was at my mom house where my nephew, Josh happen to be. He always shows concern if someone is hurting or in pain. He knew I had a dr. appointment for my hand, so he ask to look at my hand. I held my hand up and he carefully inspected it, gently touching each finger and pondering what could be wrong. He says, “Well, it looks swollen.” I said, “yes, it is”. Then he paused and very seriously says, “Auntie, have you been doing one handed push-ups…this could be the problem.” I told him I wish I could do one handed push-ups. How adorable are kids! They say the cutest things. I wish that was the problem with my hand, but I can barely do push-ups using both hands. :)

Abel’s sweet faces

I haven’t posted pictures in a few days of Abel…what kind of mom am I?

He makes the best facial expressions!

Shopping with Abel

Thanks everyone for your words of support on trying to lose weight. I have a new found respect for people who have lost a lot of weight. I mean, I always have respected these people, but now that I am going through it, I understand it all so much more.

On a different note…Abel hates shopping. I guess I should get used to it since he is a guy and will most likely always hate shopping. Not like all guys hate it, but the majority of guys do. He screams the second I put him in the car seat and doesn’t stop till we get home. As soon as we enter the store his “bloody-murder” cry starts. This is the cry where it gets so loud and high pitched and his face turns bright red and he stops breathing for a few seconds. Lately, I have been doing my errands with my mom, so if this bloody murder cry starts….grandma loving holds him the whole time. THANKS MOM! But yesterday, I thought me and Abel would venture out on our own. Bad idea. As soon as we entered Bed, Bath and Beyond…the bloody murder cry started. Everyone was staring at me so I had to shop holding him the whole time while pushing the cart. It sure was hard trying to pick up what I needed and pay for everything. How do you moms do it with more kids? I’m very impressed. Hopefully, I will get better at all this.
