It’s beach time

Tomorrow we leave for the Outer Banks! Every year since we were little my family has been taking us to the Outer Banks and we LOVE IT. We all stay in one big house…the whole family. We will be gone till Thursday….so, if you don’t hear from me for a few days, know that I haven’t left you and will be back.

So, I’m sure you are all wondering if I lost those awful 10lbs that I wanted to before we headed to the beach…no…I only lost 5lbs. But 5lbs is better then no lbs. :)

Abel loves the pool, so we are so excited to take him to the beach. He has only been once to our neighborhood pool after I realized he was sweating up a storm (just like his father) so my neighbor said, “lets take him to the pool.” I never really thought about it b/c I thought he was too small. But sure enough, he proved me wrong. He lounged in the baby pool until his little heart was content. He is a stud in his Snoppy speedos.

Here are some beach photos from years past.
(just tried on that jean jacket and it doesn’t fit…sniff…sniff…)

The turtles that live in our beach community. (Last year we saved a lost turtle from being squashed on the street and put him back in the water)

Oldies but goodies.

These photos are from Seth’s first time to the beach with my family. We had only been dating a month or so. He tells me that when we were driving back from the beach and I was sleeping in the passager’s seat…was when he fell in love with me. He didn’t tell me till over a month later, but how sweet. Look how young we look!!! Did we really age that much in 5 years!?!!? (They aren’t the greatest quality pics, but I had to show you. And don’t be fooled by Seth’s facial expression in the last photo…he really does love me. And I will never again show that much thigh in my life!) :)

Richmond Daycare

My sister, Kate and her daughter Victoria, myself and Abel decided it was time to go see Miss Ava Wiederman again. We hadn’t seen her since her birthday on July 7. The trip down there and back was quit interesting. Abel and Victoria slept great for the first 45 minutes then the last 30 minutes went completely downhill. They both screamed and cried until we pulled up to Linny’s driveway. But we made it there safely and had a great time visiting. Elizabeth and her daughter, Addison along with Theresa, Linny’s sister in-law, and her son, Grady came as well. So needless to say, it was like a daycare. Surprisingly, all the kids slept at the same time and we were all able to have some girl time. Of course, we couldn’t leave the day without pictures. I didn’t realize I took over 100 photos, but when you all have shared being pregnant together and then you have all the babies in one room-how can you not go picture crazy.

Just in case you don’t remember this photo:

Loving on her cousin (They are 6 months apart and only a difference of 1.5 lbs in weight and 1.5 in height) How do I have such a big boy!

Their precious feet (You can really see my “defected” thumb in this photo. For those of you who don’t know…yes, I was born with two thumbs on one hand and after getting the “extra” thumb removed, this is how my thumb will look like for life. Hey, I’m not complaining…just letting you know.

Watch him grow!

Our sweet Abel is living up to the nickname I gave him while he was still taking up residence in my womb….my little tank. He always felt huge in my small body. Even though he only weighed 7lbs 3oz at birth, our little guy is now tipping the scales at 12lbs 12oz and 24 inches long (no wonder his 0-3 months clothes don’t fit him anymore!)
Today, was his 2 month check-up. I was nervous b/c today was the day for all his shots. We both cried together. It was heartbreaking. But we survived and will have to do it all over again in another 2 months.

Enjoy some Abel pics.

Wonder why my clothes don’t fit me anymore?

Our hearts are grieving

Just recently we learned of a sweet Liberty couple in NC whose little boy was very sick. I just started following their blog and fell instantly in love with baby Isaac. I think since I just recently become a mother of son, that I grew so attached to this little boy. Today, Isaac went home to be with Jesus. My heart is so heavy for this dear couple who lost their precious son. Please join us in prayer for his parents, Jordan and Patience.
