Writing from Boston

Thanks everyone for your prayers and encouragement regarding my Gram.

I am currently in Boston with Seth and his family. I was very torn between what I should do… go to the funeral or with Seth. It was a hard decision, but after prayer and consideration I realized I needed to be with Seth during this time. Plus, being that I have Abel, I don’t know how much of the funeral I could actually attend. My family said the funeral went great and that my Gram would have loved it. Over a hundred friends and family attended. They made a collage of photos from her life and of course the recent military photos of her made everyone laugh, so that made me feel good. When I start to get sad about her not being with us any longer, I have to refocus my thoughts and remember she is in Heaven living it up. My Gram loved people and food and that is exactly what she is surrounded with up in Heaven…a ton of wonderful people. And I think there is food in Heaven. Right? Doesn’t the Bible mention feast in Heaven? :)

We arrived in MASS at 4:00am in the morning on Friday and I must say Abel did AMAZING! We only had to stop once and he slept the whole way. When we stopped at a rest stop in NJ at around 12:00am he woke up and we wanted to give him some fresh air. Well, he just thought he was the coolest thing that he was able to be up that late and was in amazement at all the lights at the rest stop. His facial expression was priceless.

Yesterday, was Seth’s best friend’s wedding. Congrats Josh and Kristen! Your wedding was beautiful and have fun at Disney World. I was honor that they trusted me to be their photographer. Usually, I would have had a partner, but Seth was the best man so I flew solo. I promise to post some pics when I get home.

Abel is loving meeting all his new Boston friends. The fresh air and the smiling faces wears him out. I’m being to think I need to take him to a party every day. He NEVER takes 3 hours naps for me, but OF COURSE when we are visiting his family he does. He is making a liar out of me. Thanks Abel.

A BIG HELLO to all my new Boston blog reader friends. I felt much love today when I went to Seth’s family’s church. I got to meet lots of wonderful new people who let me know they read the blog. Wow! I feel honored, but I know it really is the Abel pictures that keep them coming back for more. :) Thanks for reading and please feel free to comment.

And for all you Boston Red Sox Fans…don’t be jealous, but Seth and I get to attend a game at Fenway Park on Tuesday. I can’t wait! I have never been to Fenway and I am so excited. GO SOX!

We’ll be in Boston for the next few days, so if you don’t hear from me you know why. (I just realized this post was random and full of many different topics.)
