Back in VA

What a trip! It was such a blessing to get away. Being with Seth’s family really helped me during the loss of my Gram.

Let’s just say, from here on out we will only travel during the night. On the way up there we drove through the night and our sweet little angel slept the whole way. But since we went to Fenway on Tuesday night and didn’t get back till late (Word to Boston-get with it on the “T”. DC has got their Metro system running smoothly, why can’t you!) Has anyone ever taken the T? Boston form of metro? I can’t believe how dated their system is. It took us FOREVER to get home.

Back to my traveling story. So, we left yesterday mid-morning and our little boy SCREAMED 90% of the trip. The other 10% he was either eating or taking a VERY short cat nap. Our son hates the car. Hates his car seat. Hates sitting backwards. Hates being strapped down. Hates the hot weather. Hates EVERYTHING about the car. No more day trips!

However, Fenway Park was so much fun. I loved seeing the Red Sox play on their home field. Now I TOTALLY understand why Boston is called Red Sox Nation. Everyone on the T riding in was wearing some form of Red Sox “flare”. Even all the banners on the T where for the Red Sox. Like, do they REALLY need to advertise for the Red Sox? Everyone and their mother (which is so true in this case) is a FAN. We arrived in Boston and the town was screaming RED SOX EVERYWHERE. It was so much fun!!!!

I have a ton of pictures from apple picking to Fenway Park to wedding pics, but you will have to hold your horses. We just got back late last night and we haven’t had the time to download them yet. I promise they are coming soon.

It was great to get away, but so good to be back home. (Even if the house smelled funky due to the fact of us forgetting to take out the trash before we left. Why do we always forget to do that!)

Welcome home! Glad you had a good time in Boston! GO RED SOX! Sorry, just had to say it! I must agree the “T” is outdated, but so is all of Boston. Maybe they’re making that part of the mid-20th century part of history! They have everything back to the Revolution, they might as well have something for then too! Anyhow, glad that you made it back safely. Sorry that Abel cried most of the way home. Hope he naps well for you today to make up for it yesterday! See you soon!

welcome BAAAAACK! dude, whyyy have we not seen the wedding pics yet? hello! but i’m glad you had fun and with every trip you take, i’m sure abel will continue to let you know different ways you can make him happier :) night time drives are easier anyhow b/c you miss all the traffic, right??

…as long as my husband does the driving…
