Adapting to being a working mom

My business has been back in full swing for awhile now and I am trying to learn how to juggle being a working mom and wife. Thankfully, I am only now working part time. I don’t know how you full time moms do it. I TRULY ADMIRE you! You are amazing! I feel so blessed that I get to stay home some days and be with my precious baby. And I feel even more blessed that my mother is his babysitter on the days that I have to work. I know she loves him as much as I do and will take care of him they way I would. Plus, she always tells me everything he has done that day with such excitement. I wouldn’t get that at a daycare, so for that I am truly grateful.

All my clients and women’s groups that I have spoke to on organization always told me they couldn’t wait till I have children to see how organized I would still be. Now, I totally understand what they meant. I’m still organized, but it is a different kind of organized. A new organize that I have to adjust to my new lifestyle. Everything may not always look the way I would want it to look, but I have to remind myself that this is my new life and my focus is on being a good mother and wife. So, some days the floor may be messy and the laundry may be overflowing, but I have to remind myself that it will get done someday if not today. I can’t stress about everything. This is a daily struggle for me. Just ask my husband. If something is not in its place, it will drive me crazy. I wish I wasn’t like that, but that is just who I am. I am learning to accept that some days the house won’t always be to my liking, but as long as everyone in my house is taken care of and well fed (and if Abel takes his naps), then that is a good day. :)
