I found it strange that my phone wasn’t ringing off the hook for Allister. I understand. It is the holidays, you are all very busy. January might be a better month. You will realize having a cat around for the holidays would have been nice and you will then think of Allister…haha…kidding…kidding. Although, it would have been nice to have some help with the vet bills. Sure enough it was an abscess and once it was “taken care of” he bounced right back to his annoying, needy self. Love ya, Allister.

Every time my niece, Victoria, and Abel get together they have a blast. They truly love each other and recognize one another. If you ask Victoria (11 months) “where is Abel?”, sure enough she points to him. She loves to kiss his head (who wouldn’t want to kiss his precious head) and he lights up the second he sees her. It is truly precious. I hope they continue to get along and be great friends as they get older.

Here they are a few weeks back playing with each other when I was babysitting Victoria for the day.

Then while Abel napped, me and Victoria played together and we got into a little mischief. Isn’t that right Victoria?

She found Uncle Seth’s shirt lying around. (Ummmm….does anyone else have a spouse that leaves clothing lying all around the house?) (love ya, babe!)

I told you Abel has lots of girls to love.

Sophie was born on October 15, 2007 to Blair & Heather Brown. We finally got to meet Sophie a few weeks ago when we took a short trip to Richmond. To all my Richmond friends: one day I am coming down there for a few days (instead of a few hours) so I can see all of you…

Abel started off in a blue shirt (see above) then peed on that, next came a yellow shirt, and after being in it for about 1 hr. he peed all over that one.

Ava gladly let him borrow her white onesie, but then by the end of the day he was very pleased to be naked.
Sophie isn’t so sure about it, but he was enjoying himself.

Can our kitty cat have ANY more problems???

We always know that when Allister doesn’t come running to greet us after a long day (let’s face it, it isn’t because he is happy to see us, he just wants to be fed) you know he is sick. Today was one of those days. I walked in the door after being gone all day and no kitty came running. Yesterday, I felt a small bump on him and was hoping it would just go away. No such luck. I called his name…..nothing….this means trouble folks. Our cat has a major obsession with food and if he doesn’t come running, then trouble is lurking. Sure enough, another large bump (also know as an abscess…I know, very gross) is growing on him…this time on his side. A vet visit is a must. This thing is not pretty. He has had them before and one time we didn’t make it to the vet in time. Do you know what happens to an abscess if not taken care of properly? Why, yes, you guessed it….it explodes and it is the foulest thing on this earth.

Just lovely. Allister, don’t you know I have a busy week ahead of me? Just what I wanted to do this week. Go to the vet!

This is where his abscess was the last time. Don’t you all want a kitty cat now? Don’t you all want my one eared kitty cat? Say Maybe.

Aww, just look at this sweet face. I know you want him. I’ll be taking calls first thing in the morning. First come, first serve.

And of course, we can’t end a post without posting a precious picture of our sweet Abel.

Abel started eating foods (or as Seth calls it-sauce) about a week and an a half ago. We started with carrots. I thought I would give him all the vegetables first, so he doesn’t prefer the sweets. Although, I know when he finally tastes applesauce for the first time I have a feeling he will love it.

His first bit of carrots (aka -carrot sauce) was as if he had tasted the most horrendous thing on earth, but by the 5th bite or so he was gobbling it up. We have moved on to sweet potatoes and he loves them more then carrots. I’m sure he thought they were going to be carrots again, b/c he had carrots 5 days in a row, but when I put that first bite of sweet potatoes in his mouth he gave me the biggest grin…it was like he was saying “wow, thanks mom! A new food! Yummy!”

Loving his new high chair…he still is a little small for it, so he tends to lean always to the right side.

And on a COMPLETELY different subject, look what I found while searching for photos on flickr….my fat, swollen pregnant feet! I really envy you women whose feet still look perfect at 9 months pregnant. (I could only wear flip flops the last 3 months, so I had these in 3 different colors…lovely, I know.)
