GO Month

Well, it is officially back to reality. Seth went back to work today and it is just me and Abel at home. We will miss having Seth around. Abel adores his daddy.

I welcome January. Professional Organizers love the mouth of January. We even have a name for it…it is called GO Month…meaning GET ORGANIZED! We know many people have New Year’s resolutions to get organized and we organizers are ready to help them tackle their clutter. I get excited just talking about it. I know I am driving Seth crazy at the moment since my organization madness peeks when January hits. I will even admit I have issues. I have to CONSTANTLY throw things out, change things around, organize, re-decorate…let’s face it, I can even drive myself crazy. Like, I just can’t relax sometimes because I want to keep organizing. I have to constantly tell myself, “Self, calm down. Your house doesn’t always have to look so organized.” See, since everyone knows I am a Professional Organizer they think my home will always look immaculate. Not always the case, people. I know, shocking! So, if you randomly stopped by my house and you see a piece of paper lying around don’t be disappointed. But you can bet that piece of paper lying around is driving me crazy and I can’t wait to get my hands on it to find a home for it. I know, it is a sickness and I am trying to just relax…that is my New Year’s resolution to just relax and enjoy the moment even if there is chaos all around me.

If you are local to the area and need an energetic, fun-loving organizer, send me a shout and I will be anxiously awaiting to tackle your clutter.

If you plan on organizing a space in your home, leave me a comment. I would love to know about it and remember it is GO MONTH!

In Abel news:

I have lots of photos to show you from our Christmas break, but I don’t want to overwhelm you, plus I want you to keep checking back for more.

Once again, brace yourself for the cutest winter baby boy! Tell me this face isn’t magazine worthy?

These were taken the day we were leaving for Boston. We drive through the night so we were leaving in a few hours and I needed some time alone to get us packed and ready to go, so I had Seth take Abel for a walk. It was freezing outside, but Abel LOVES walks no matter how cold it is. So, we bundled him up and of course Daddy Seth couldn’t resist snapping away.

Look at those eyes! I can’t handle how gorgeous this baby is! (Look closely, our baby inherited our thick eyebrows…and yes, that is a uni-brow you see. I fear what his eyebrows will look like in a few years. (We may have to introduce tweezers sooner then later.) But for now, behold the cuteness. 20071222_006

I like the picture of Abel smiling! We don’t see that too often on your blog. : )

I have some organizing/cleaning-out projects on my list. I’ll tell you about a few if it really makes your day! The biggest one is transforming our guest bedroom/computer room into a room that Baby #2 will sleep in. Other smaller tasks include cleaning out/organzing cupboards.

I cleaned out and organized our hall closet the other day, and I feel so good about it! Such accomplishment after it was over.

Happy 2008! News flash Julie: Abel so adorable, eyebrow and all! He looks so huggable in his warm cozy bunting. You’re so right, the bug has bitten to GO. Our latest project is to organize the unfinished room above the garage that we use for storage. We’re building shelves and all, splitting the room so that we can finish half of it and make that into a guy room for the hubby. I think he just wants to use the new saw he got and I want to label things and be able to walk up there and find anything that I need. I hope you have a very successful year!

oh that little child is just too gorgeous for words!
love the hoodie.

Hi Julie, I so enjoy your postings and especially the pics of that adorable little guy! My goal for 2008 is to organize my 2 twenty something daughters things. I have held on to way to much stuff! I would like to get it down to a “box” of memories, but it’s so hard to throw it away! My reality boost was when my sweet grandmother past away last month and my sister and I went into her “very organized” apartment and started throwing away all this stuff that was so precious to her! Yikes!! It’s true, when we die we’re taking nothing with us! Happy New Year from Westminster, MA to you, Seth and sweet Abel!

Sophie & I miss Abel! He’s getting to be such a big boy. I just posted some cute pics of Ava & Sophie on Christmas morning

Hey Jules! Glad you guys had an awesome, blessed holiday in Boston. The pics of Mr. Abel are SOOO cute. BTW, everyone LOVED our beautiful pics on the Christmas card, so many more thanks to you and Seth. You guys rock as photographers. Per your comments, yes, I’m no organizer, but I’m realizing, too, that I cannot stand clutter. At our awesome holiday away time in WI with my in-laws, I kept trying to get up and put stuff away. My wonderful m-i-l (who really is wonderful), doesn’t care a bit about the mounds of Christmas toys, gifts, and many other what-nots that seemed to grow around her house. I was for sure that she would kick me out. Anyway, it was great to be away and as you say, kick back, snuggle on a couch and have the wonderful hands of family to help me take care of Charlotte. Have a wonderful GO month, and talk to you soon! Love, Janice

BTW, Miss Charlotte is too busy not to nurse, too! And she’s just four months. What’s up with that?!? She only wants to nurse during the night, or when she’s really tired. Sooo tough trying to keep a blanket over her head when nursing in public. It’s like trying to hide a hyper gerbil in a blanket or something!

i love him. uni and all.

i want to SQUEEZE him!!! my apartment is so cluttered – so wish you lived here right now because I would definitely hire your services.
