Go Swimmie Go

Diarrhea please go away. Abel has had diarrhea for 7 straight days. It feels like 7 weeks. It’s been a bit rough. I have to give him lots of credit. He doesn’t act like it is bothering him except at night. Arugh! He has a few explosions during the night and I am so ready for the diarrhea to go away! I just want a decent night of sleep! I don’t know what is going on. I know when it first started he had the flu or some type of bug b/c he was also throwing up too, but now it has just been the diarrhea. Maybe it is because he is teething, since last time he had diarrhea for 10 days before 2 teeth decided to show up. I haven’t taken him to the doctors, b/c last time I did they couldn’t do nothing for him. He isn’t acting sick at all, so I figured we’d just wait it out. He won’t eat food. I have tried a ton of different foods since I know that would help the diarrhea. At any rate, if you have any advice, I would love to hear it.

So after a few days of ruining a ton of his clothes from his explosions (and I mean, explosions) I was very frustrated with the diapers leaking. I had this brilliant idea that maybe if I put a swimmie over his diaper, it might hold the diarrhea from exploding out. I had some left over from the summer and sure enough my bright idea worked. Every since I put the swimmie on over the diaper, the leaks have pretty much stopped. Every once in awhile it might come out the back because it is just so explosive, but the swimmie has been my lifesaver.

I realized I really haven’t posted too many photos from our New England trip. So here you go…get ready it is a lot of pictures.

O’ Christmas Tree

This will be a short post since the Flu has struck our home. Abel and I are not doing well. His started 2 days ago and then yesterday I started feeling really sick. Let’s just say I am changing his diaper and clothes EVERY 30 minutes or so. As I was cleaning up his throw-up last night, daddy Seth thought it would be a bright idea to video tape us. When I turned around and saw the camera in my face, I freaked out and ask him WHY in the WORLD was he taping this. He replied that we shouldn’t always just tape the good stuff, but also the bad stuff so we can look back one day and laugh about it. Even though I looked like death, I loved that he still tries to find the humor in the bad things.

Here are a few pics by the Christmas Tree. These were taken after Christmas and at my parents house, but I refused to let his first Christmas go by without him in front of the Christmas tree.

This child smiles ALL DAY long (even when he is sick) and I am so glad he is finally doing it in front of the camera. He used to always freeze and give his famous “open mouth” face, but now I guess he is finally used to the big, black flashy thing that is constantly in his face.

GO Month

Well, it is officially back to reality. Seth went back to work today and it is just me and Abel at home. We will miss having Seth around. Abel adores his daddy.

I welcome January. Professional Organizers love the mouth of January. We even have a name for it…it is called GO Month…meaning GET ORGANIZED! We know many people have New Year’s resolutions to get organized and we organizers are ready to help them tackle their clutter. I get excited just talking about it. I know I am driving Seth crazy at the moment since my organization madness peeks when January hits. I will even admit I have issues. I have to CONSTANTLY throw things out, change things around, organize, re-decorate…let’s face it, I can even drive myself crazy. Like, I just can’t relax sometimes because I want to keep organizing. I have to constantly tell myself, “Self, calm down. Your house doesn’t always have to look so organized.” See, since everyone knows I am a Professional Organizer they think my home will always look immaculate. Not always the case, people. I know, shocking! So, if you randomly stopped by my house and you see a piece of paper lying around don’t be disappointed. But you can bet that piece of paper lying around is driving me crazy and I can’t wait to get my hands on it to find a home for it. I know, it is a sickness and I am trying to just relax…that is my New Year’s resolution to just relax and enjoy the moment even if there is chaos all around me.

If you are local to the area and need an energetic, fun-loving organizer, send me a shout and I will be anxiously awaiting to tackle your clutter.

If you plan on organizing a space in your home, leave me a comment. I would love to know about it and remember it is GO MONTH!

In Abel news:

I have lots of photos to show you from our Christmas break, but I don’t want to overwhelm you, plus I want you to keep checking back for more.

Once again, brace yourself for the cutest winter baby boy! Tell me this face isn’t magazine worthy?

These were taken the day we were leaving for Boston. We drive through the night so we were leaving in a few hours and I needed some time alone to get us packed and ready to go, so I had Seth take Abel for a walk. It was freezing outside, but Abel LOVES walks no matter how cold it is. So, we bundled him up and of course Daddy Seth couldn’t resist snapping away.

Look at those eyes! I can’t handle how gorgeous this baby is! (Look closely, our baby inherited our thick eyebrows…and yes, that is a uni-brow you see. I fear what his eyebrows will look like in a few years. (We may have to introduce tweezers sooner then later.) But for now, behold the cuteness. 20071222_006
