Back in the saddle

That is for sure! (I should be doing a million other things right now, but I just feel like blogging.)

I was spoiled all last week. Lots of food, sleep and relaxation. Thanks to my in-laws for a great stay. When you are at Paul & Brenda Nickerson’s house you feel like you just stepped into some Resort or Bed & Breakfast. But what B&B takes your raring and ready to go baby at 6am and lets you go back to sleep for a few hours……Only grandparents that is for sure. Plus a bonus feature, they just recently added a Movie Theater in their basement (No Joke!) so I felt like I went to the movies a few times too! Seth took off shortly after we arrived to have his “guy reunion” and Abel and I l got to hang with the in-laws. We had a blast!

But now I’m drowning in laundry and a dirty house with no food. I told Seth this morning there should be a service that you can call up when you are heading home after being away on vacation or travel and you give them your grocery list. Then they stock your fridge before you get home. An added bonus would be fresh cut flowers on the table. (If it were my business, I would leave the flowers free of charge. My nice little service touch. ) Seth said it would never work because you would have to go into people’s homes and how do they know they could trust you. I say, you slowly build up your reputation and friends tell friends and poof….you got a Gold Star business. I might just start it up…add it onto the other zillion little businesses we have brewing. Maybe this type of company exist. Does anyone know of any?

My heart is racing and my blood pressure is rising….I better get a moving. I have an organizing job tomorrow and I always have guilt if my house isn’t up to par when I leave for an organizing job.

Now where is that label marker of mine???? Kidding. KIDDING…so kidding. I know exactly how many feet away I am from it!

I’ll be back soon with a CRAZY amount of photos!

Don’t be alarmed…

if you don’t hear from me for a few days.

We are taking a trip to MA for about a week. Seth has his annual “college guy reunion” and they just so happened to be meeting up in MA this time around. Abe the babe and I will hanging out with the in-laws while Seth is off doing boy stuff that I probably don’t want to know about.

As you know, one of my loves is organizing and I especially love designing space solutions for a small area/space. The challenge is to design a space that will maximize the small living area. I think by living in a small space it really forces people to get rid of their clutter as opposed to avoiding it. When you live in a large space it is easier to avoid dealing with the clutter.

I came across an article by Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan in Cookie Magazine. He designs furniture and other storage solution products for small spaces. He used to live in a house that was only 265 sq. feet along with his wife and daughter. Can you even imagine? They eventually moved to an apartment that was a whopping 700 sq. feet! (he prefers small living spaces) He has some really great ideas that I thought I would share. Check out his blog or his newly designed line for baby stuff.

I’m off to go pack…

I need to catch up…

On this blog.

Thank you all for your prayers for my niece, Victoria. She was diagnosed with Cellulitis and was hospitalized for 2 days. She is home now (Praise God) and healing. (She did look so cute in her little hospital gown.)

It has been a crazy week. Abel has been sick all week with a bad cold, then he woke up on Sat. with a high fever and on Sunday he got a rash. I’m pretty sure he got Roseola. It has been a week of sickness for me and my friends & family’s children. Pretty much our whole church nursery got sick this week. Poor little babies and their parents. It’s always a little rough when your kids get sick.

Moving on… remember this photo:

I loved Debbie K.’s comment. “I better write this number down. My parents are going to need all the help they can get. I’m going to cost them a fortune!” A few of you picked up on that it was Debt commercial. That is what we were looking for. -Thanks Debbie!

It was a crazy wedding weekend for us. Seth shot a wedding on Saturday with Allison and then I shot one with her on Sunday. AND Allison is 5 MONTHS pregnant! She is amazing at what she does and she doesn’t even let her pregnancy get in the way. Thanks Allison for letting us be a part of Allison Morgan Photography!

I haven’t taken any photos this week of Abel. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, but I don’t want to leave you hanging.

Bath time fun

So PRECIOUS! We have the CUTEST naked photos of him bending over looking into the tub, but I just can’t post my naked child on the world wide web. However, if you are a lucky flickr friend of ours, you can view them.

A little blurry, but too cute!

He is obsessed with his toothbrush and takes it everywhere he goes until he gets distracted by something else in his path.

Notice all the toys in the background…he could care less about them. Just give him a toothbrush.

My precious niece just got hospitalized this morning. She may have a condition called Cellulitis, it is not for sure just yet, but we will know more as the day goes on. I had never heard of cellulitis before today so here is the definition I googled from healthsystem.virginia.edu:

These conditions refer to an inflammation and infection of the tissue and skin that surround the eye. They are serious infections that involve the eye and the structures around the eye. Pre-septal cellulitis involves the area from the skin of the eyelid to the bony area that encloses the eye. Orbital cellulitis is an infection that involves the eye and the eye structures within the bony cavity of the face. Both of these conditions are serious and require immediate medical attention by your child’s physician.

We appreciate your prayers.
