What kind of title is that? I’ll get to it in a minute.

To answer the questions from the last few posts:

1) The archives can now be found on the sidebar. Thanks Heather for bringing that to our attention and thanks Seth for working on the blog again this weekend.

2) And I still haven’t got a new hair cut yet. Hopefully, soon.

The other day, Abel and I went grocery shopping and he started getting fussy half way through our trip. To keep him entertained I gave him an avocado. I figured he would think it was a ball. I turned around to pick up more avocados for Seth. (Seth is a huge fan of these yummy green berries. Yes, avocados are considered a berry.) When I turned around Abel had green mush all over his face. I couldn’t believe he had bitten through the avocado that quickly and actually liked it. So, I peeled the avocado right there in the store and he ate half of it. People around us were so impressed that such a little guy liked avocados. Sure, it made a mess, but you do what you can to get through a grocery trip. Right, moms? I couldn’t believe I forgot my phone or else I would have gotten a picture of my adorable little mess.

When we got home, I started putting away the groceries. I turned around and saw this.

You would think I don’t feed this child. Within seconds he had bit through the plastic and was helping himself to the zucchini. Since he was enjoying it so much, I figured I would just keep letting him eat it since I know it is good for him.

Do you know what this is?

It is what we hope will be an avocado plant, but this was taken over 3 weeks ago and we still don’t see any signs of life. Seth loves his avocados so much, he thought he would try to grow an avocado tree. I’ll keep you posted and let you know if we get any avocado buds.

HAPPY 10 MONTHS TO MY HANDSOME BABY BOY!


And he is TALKING like crazy!

Two days ago he said CAT for the first time when he saw Allister and we were so thrilled. Then later on that day, I went out shopping with my mom and we were walking down the toy aisle and I hear him say CAR CAR CAR. I was like, “what are you saying” and he is pointing to the toy cars and saying CAR!!! I screamed for my mom to come over and hear him. It is just so amazing to me that he knew that was a car. I’m ashamed to say but he doesn’t really have any cars or car books so we really haven’t said the word car that much. When we go outside, I do point out the cars but that is about it. I know, how terrible am I??? Well, it must of stuck. It just goes to show you how much they know and just can’t communicate. Since he now is obsessed with cars we borrowed a bunch of toy cars from his cousin and bought some car books. Cars are all he wants to play with these days. He wakes up saying car car car. So cute! He even says it with a Boston accent! HA! How funny is that!

His vocabulary now consists of “dada, nana, light, hi, t, gr, do, cat and car”. No mama yet and that makes me sad. Every day we practice and usually dada or nana comes out. Maybe I am nana???

I love watching his curious mind discover new things. Abel, you are such a blessing!

Where’s the lovin?

We need to show Seth how much we appreciate ALL his hard work on updating and changing the look of the blog. Do you guys not like the new Nickerson News look??? I love it babe and thanks so much for working so hard on it. Your rock my socks off!

Not too much new going on here at the Nickerson household. As always we are faithfully busy with our hands in some new project, whether house or business related. And life is just about to get more busy with wedding season picking up. We assist our friend Allison, who runs her own Wedding Photography business, when photographing weddings. She is having a baby boy in Sept. (YAY!!! We are so thrilled that Abel will finally have a guy friend) so we will be taking on a few weddings on our own while she is on maternity leave.
