Last night I decided to get back into my nightly workouts. After being in a swimsuit a lot these days, I’m realizing my abs are definitely not like they used to be. Even though I have lost all my weight and then some…my tummy just isn’t as tight.
I’ll admit, I got a little lazy since the weight just kept dropping off and so the workouts slowly stopped. I do my best workouts while watching TV. I realized I haven’t really watched TV in awhile which is also maybe why I haven’t worked out lately. I mean, don’t get me wrong I am still doing some form of exercising, but it is stuff like walks with Abel, chasing him ALL OVER and swimming around with him.
TLC was showing old episodes of Jon & Kate plus 8…and they showed the one where Kate shows her “post sixtuplets” stomach. That was even MORE motivation to keep doing my crunches. Thank God she did show it because it got her a FREE tummy tuck.
As Seth and I were getting into bed last night, I told him if I got pregnant in the next 6 months or so I would really need him to be my source of strength because I am just not ready right now. I guess between watching Jon & Kate and talking about pregnancy right before bed, I had a dream last night that I was 12 weeks pregnant and already looked 7 months plus pregnant and my stomach was covered in red stretch marks and my belly button was over by my hip. (I learned during my REAL pregnancy that my belly button is a little off centered so I guess that is why that was thrown in the dream.) People kept telling me in my dream, that since this is my second pregnancy I would show more and get more stretch marks. It was so depressing! I woke up in a panic, but was brought back to reality by this bundle of JOY at roughly (and boy it is rough) at 5:30am.

Why 5:30 am is his new wake up time for the last month is beyond me! I will never get used to 5:30am so he better change this schedule.
We’re eating breakfast by 6:30am and lunch by 10:30/11ish.

Dinner by 4:30pm.

(And yes, he prefers to eat his apple and corn whole….no small pieces for Abel…scares me to death, but it is the only way I can get him to eat certain food.)
Even though I can barely keep my eyes open when he gets up, I do enjoy our mornings together. I make a big pot of coffee (that is usually cold by the time Seth gets to it) and we turn on the kiddie shows and play with cars. I love watching him hold his cars watching a little morning tv in his snugly pjs.

I can totally relate. Pregnancy certainly changes your body in a major way. I lost the weight very quickly too but muscle tone didn’t come back that easily. It takes true work and dedication to stay in shape now. Something that isn’t too easy after having a kid and like you mentioned, something will change your schedule and you find yourself weeks without working out.

Ah, you guys are catching my Jon&Kate obsession – it’s TLC’s fault too for showing them all the time. Wed there was a marathon! i’m assuming that’s what you were watching… haha
I am in love with early-morning Abel in his PJ’s and holding his car! SO reminds me of Tomato. In every picture we have of him as a small child he is holding a car. I Love it!!!!!
and you are gorgeous and I’m sure your tummy is just fine.

Hi guys! A friend of mine entered her baby in this photo contest, and I immediately thought of you:

It’s for Parents magazine – I think Abel would be an instant winner.
Hope everyone is well,
Kris
