I’m trying

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for Tyler Wilkerson’s family. I know they appreciate all your prayers. Please also pray for Manny, Tyler’s best friend, who was driving that night. He was not injured, but needs your prayers as you can imagine.

I’m finding it hard to blog these last few days. You’ll be lucky if you get a post a week out of me in the upcoming weeks. My son decided he is too cool for naps and isn’t taking ANY. At least today he didn’t and I’m about to go in the crazy house. I love him dearly, but I need a BREAK from him. I think he is trying to transition to just one nap, but he can’t figure it out and instead of two naps he is doing NONE!!! And you moms all know how difficult the transition is….NOT PRETTY! I was getting so spoiled with his two naps. Of course, just when you get into a routine they decide it is time for a change. He is also punishing me for leaving him for a few days and wants to make sure all my time is spent watching him push his cars around and making sure I am doing nothing else. (Can you tell I am edgy tonight?)

I’m also struggling to manage two home based business when I am chasing a toddler who DOESN’T sleep.

I’ll be fine. We just both have to get used to a new schedule. Hopefully, it will be sooner than later. Every once and awhile I have to vent, right? Enough whining for me. I will push on.

Onto a happy note, our romantic getaway was fabulous! Getting away with my hot hubby was just what the doctor ordered.

Of course, we only got one terrible photo of us together. The only problem with our professional camera is that when we ask people to take our pictures with it (that is if they are willing to hold it and take on the challenge) we end up getting blurry, no good photos. Oh well, this is the best we got.

Our room was called “The Herb Room” which meant we had a view of the garden and this flower just happen to be at its peak bloom. Just gorgeous!

Some other great shots from Seth.

A close up of an ant. Isn’t that cool!

Not too much of a hiker, but I try.

Thankfully, after our hike we treated ourselves to Roman Baths and massages. (Berkeley Springs is known for its Roman Baths. You can’t go to Berkeley Springs without getting a Roman Bath.)

I was in love with this door. We would pass it a few times a day.

Seth, aren’t you having so much fun with me?

That’s better.

And this was too funny not to get a picture of.

a- you are so pretty, jules.
b- that is the best picture (the dog with the NO sign….HILARIOUS!)
c- at least you looked cute hiking because OF COURSE, that’s all that matters. wah ah ah

You look amazing Julie! And that dog sign is too funny for words. I hope things get easier on you. Those little ones do like to change things up way too much. If he can get the one nap thing down then he’ll probably be good-to-go.

you ARE so pretty!!! and seth, love those pics of him. classy. I love the color of that door, that shade of blue is quickly becoming my new favorite color – what would you call that, I call it robin’s egg. anyhoo…great shots, looks like FUNNNNN!

Abel, sleep for your momma.

Julie, Seth and Abel,
Thanks again for the blog! Helps to keep us connected. Love your pictures and venting too! We mothers do understand the situation of transition. That is where our faith in Jesus is monumental….We can trust Him to help us, guide us, give us wisdom, peace and His strength. He is faithful and He will do it. He will never leave nor forsake you….Do not be afraid or discouraged. And remember to be thankful in all situations for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus…..
We will (and have been) praying for John and Linda and family. And Manny too! God is glorified through all this heartache and pain. He is doing a marvelous work in the hearts and lives of multiple people. He knows the beginning from the end. We can trust Him! Without faith it is impossible to please Him. Yes, Jesus, have your perfect way!!!!!!
Love you all……

SO glad you two got away for a weekend! I know it was a blessing! Jules, you’re looking amazing, and that blue door definitely brings out your eyes;) Love you two. Abel and I need to have a talk. I’ll straighten him out.
