PRAISING GOD!

Seth, Abel and I were on our way to PA for the day to meet up with Seth’s family. We only made it to DC.

We were taking a short cut through the city and were sitting at a red light. The light turned green and we started to go and I looked to my right and I saw a car coming so fast right at us. I shut my eyes and screamed. As soon as the car smashed into us I only could think about Abel and whipped around so fast and was so thankful he was screaming, but was completely fine. I immediately grabbed him out of the car seat and held him so tight that I didn’t even realize 3 airbags had all gone off and the door to the side of the car that I was sitting on was so smashed. I couldn’t contain myself and was bawling, but inside I was SO SO THANKFUL to our AMAZING GOD that we were all uninjured.

THANK YOU JESUS!

I will admit I was very “unpleasant” to the guy that hit us. Seth had to calm me down, but I was just so mad that he RAN A RED LIGHT! I just kept asking him WHY did he run a red light! I could see the guilt on his face and he said he had so much on his mind (he was heading to the court house-for who knows what?). I told him I really hoped he learned his lesson and that he better pay attention from now on!

Abel on the other had was having the time of his life! As we waited for the police, he got to sit in the driver’s seat and drive the steering wheel (a favorite activity of his), see the ambulance, sit in a police car and ride in a tow truck. The entire time we were in the tow truck he must have said “tow truck” over 100 times. He thought it was the greatest thing.

Thankfully, we weren’t too far from home and my parents were able to pick us up. We are happy to be home safe and are just relaxing and praising God that we are all here uninjured. When Abel was napping this afternoon, I had to go into his room and watch him sleep and Thank my Lord that my baby is ok and still with us. Every time he has laughed today it fills my heart with so much joy. I am so thankful I can still wrap my arms around him and today I am hugging my boys so tight and praising God that we are all still here.

We took a few pictures of our poor civic that we love dearly after the accident. Sadly, I think our civic is going to the auto graveyard…

(Look closely. Abel’s angel was watching over him so tightly that the back seat car door is completely all intact. Not even a scratch! My door got the brunt of the accident and my angel was protecting me so much that I don’t even have a scratch and I feel totally fine. (hopefully, the morning won’t bring on any new pains)

THANK YOU GOD THAT WE ARE STILL HERE!!! WE ARE PRAISING YOU TODAY AND ALWAYS!

Give Thanks!

I am just praising God for all his MANY BLESSINGS this Thanksgiving! I hope you will be grateful too for everything the Lord has done in your life.

Today, Abel and I are just going to relax and hang out and I am thrilled about that. I plan on doing a little cooking for the big T-day tomorrow. Every year I make a HUGE MOUND of yummy mashed potatoes to contribute to the feast. (Everyone pitches in and makes 2 to 3 dishes to make it a little easier on my mom). And thanks to my brother in-law’s mom, I started making a very tasty corn casserole dish. (Thank Ginger!)

Abel was just “introduced” to Bob the Builder and he is in LOVE! My nephew is now “too old” for Bob the Builder, so he gave his old videos to Abel. Sure enough, Abel was in awe. Funny story: 6 years ago, Seth and I dressed up as Bob & Wendy (Bob’s girl) for Halloween since my nephew ask us to be Bob & Wenny. We were a HUGE hit with the little 3 & 4 year old boys and they all wanted a picture with us.

Here is a picture down memory lane….I wonder if we will be bringing out these costumes again…..

(what is really funny is that I just happened to name this post “Give Thanks” because of Thanksgiving and didn’t even realized until I posted this picture that it says “Give Thanks”. crazy!)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

8:41am

Is when the school bus comes.

20081105_0004-1

Every morning after Seth leaves for work we keep the door open and with much anticipation and excitement we wait for the “big school bus”. It is absolutely so precious how excited he gets to see the school bus. (Funny how it won’t be as exciting the day he has to get on it.)

This week flew by. I just realized I haven’t blog but once all week. I guess I’m just having too much fun with my boy. Today we ventured to our monthly outing called Kidgits. This was seriously the BEST $5 I HAVE EVERY SPENT.

First of all, it is only $5 FOR THE YEAR!!! Unreal! It meets at your local mall and every month is something new and exciting. Not to mention the FREE Starbucks coffee you get every time you go. Oh yes, FREE STARBUCKS coffee and juice for the kids. Abel gets a prize every time we go and today they were giving away $5 Tommy Hilfiger giftcards to the first 35 people. Yours truly got one and you better believe I already spent it and got myself a cute little Tommy shirt. I think this is the first Tommy shirt I have ever own. (Unless I was given a hand me down or got one from the Goodwill.) It was a great deal since it was already marked down and it is an outlet mall so after the $5 it was super cheap.

Anyway, check it out and see if there is a Kidgits near you. Abel has the best time running around and meeting new friends. (He doesn’t sit still for story time, but what do you expect he is ALL BOY.) Oh and today was their one your anniversary so we all got FREE cupcakes too! YUMMY!

and free cupcakes always make us smile.

Randomness

Is randomness even a word?

My life has been filled with lots and lots of photography and editing and I love it! This time a year always bring a lot of family portraits and they are just so fun to do and meet new families.

We’ve been making little trips to “potential photo shoot” sites so we can check them out and get an idea of what would look good. We went to Burke Lake Park last week and it is just gorgeous. I must say, I never really knew how many gorgeous places were close by. It just goes to show you we take for granted where we live.

Taking a hike.

Always has to get a taste of the bark.

Ok, well we really went to ride the little train, however, momma juju didn’t read the website correctly and it had already closed down for winter. :( but we found some other things to keep us entertained.

It was so HARD to get him to stay still and get a picture with me! (something, I will be probably struggling with my whole life!)

And I forgot to post these photos that were taken over a month ago when Abel just looked too cute in the bath. He finally has long enough hair for a mohawk! ha!
