Seth, Abel and I were on our way to PA for the day to meet up with Seth’s family. We only made it to DC.
We were taking a short cut through the city and were sitting at a red light. The light turned green and we started to go and I looked to my right and I saw a car coming so fast right at us. I shut my eyes and screamed. As soon as the car smashed into us I only could think about Abel and whipped around so fast and was so thankful he was screaming, but was completely fine. I immediately grabbed him out of the car seat and held him so tight that I didn’t even realize 3 airbags had all gone off and the door to the side of the car that I was sitting on was so smashed. I couldn’t contain myself and was bawling, but inside I was SO SO THANKFUL to our AMAZING GOD that we were all uninjured.
THANK YOU JESUS!
I will admit I was very “unpleasant” to the guy that hit us. Seth had to calm me down, but I was just so mad that he RAN A RED LIGHT! I just kept asking him WHY did he run a red light! I could see the guilt on his face and he said he had so much on his mind (he was heading to the court house-for who knows what?). I told him I really hoped he learned his lesson and that he better pay attention from now on!
Abel on the other had was having the time of his life! As we waited for the police, he got to sit in the driver’s seat and drive the steering wheel (a favorite activity of his), see the ambulance, sit in a police car and ride in a tow truck. The entire time we were in the tow truck he must have said “tow truck” over 100 times. He thought it was the greatest thing.
Thankfully, we weren’t too far from home and my parents were able to pick us up. We are happy to be home safe and are just relaxing and praising God that we are all here uninjured. When Abel was napping this afternoon, I had to go into his room and watch him sleep and Thank my Lord that my baby is ok and still with us. Every time he has laughed today it fills my heart with so much joy. I am so thankful I can still wrap my arms around him and today I am hugging my boys so tight and praising God that we are all still here.
We took a few pictures of our poor civic that we love dearly after the accident. Sadly, I think our civic is going to the auto graveyard…
(Look closely. Abel’s angel was watching over him so tightly that the back seat car door is completely all intact. Not even a scratch! My door got the brunt of the accident and my angel was protecting me so much that I don’t even have a scratch and I feel totally fine. (hopefully, the morning won’t bring on any new pains)
THANK YOU GOD THAT WE ARE STILL HERE!!! WE ARE PRAISING YOU TODAY AND ALWAYS!
