A few more Easter pics

Easter already feels so far away!

We spent Easter with my crazy Italian family (I say that with lots of love). We are the first to admit we are a crazy, loud, wild family. Thank God the men who married us (or soon to marry into the family…wink…wink..GRAHAM) have excepted the crazy family that we are! But what family isn’t crazy in their own way. right?

My adorable dad with his only grandgirl.

It appears Josh is trying to choke Abel. :)

I love this one. Josh is being the good little boy that he is and the toddlers can’t take their eyes off the Easter basket.

Seth wasn’t amused that I wanted another family photo.

back

We’re back from a GREAT vacation! I don’t have much time since we just walked in the door not too long ago and I am sitting in the bathroom watching Abel lap up his dirty bath water. And I need to put this crazy boy to bed soon since he has been up all day. Seth and I have the privilege of having a child who doesn’t sleep in the car….

Since I don’t feel like writing a long post, I’ll leave you with some bullet points.

-We left on Monday night at 7pm and our son didn’t fall asleep till we hit Connecticut!!! And of course we only had 1.5 hours left of the trip. Great timing Abel. (and he was up at the CRACK of dawn the next morning!)

-He makes a liar out of me and takes 2-3 HOUR naps when he is at his grandparents house all week. What is up with that!

-We always sleep so great at his parent’s house. We think it is because we sleep in separate beds! ha!

-Our B&B get away was absolutely amazing! We were truly blessed and got such an unbelievable deal on this huge suite. We could have NEVER afforded it had we not got such a great discount. Plus, we had a gift card. When we called to ask about the place, Seth ask if there was any way we could get some type of a discount and they said “sure” and pretty much gave us half off! Plus, we knew our little guy was in great hands so we never worried about him.

-Brenda makes delicious gourmet meals in minutes…she also whipped up homemade eatable play-doh in seconds (seriously, she was heading out the door for a wake and I turned around and she had make this stuff!)

-Of course, Abel enjoyed lots of tractor rides with his Papa. He is in heaven there.

-We left bright and early this morning in hopes that Abel will be more pleasant tomorrow (we are awaiting on that verdict). He watched the movie Cars 3 times today and a bunch of other movies. All I have to say is THANK GOD for portable DVD players. We don’t let him watch that much tv (we don’t even have cable) but on days when we have to travel ALL DAY, we make exceptions. Abel decided in New York he would take a nap. Great timing, Abe! Pick the stop where it is CRAZY LOUD with dead stop traffic. Of course, after a 20 minute nap he was ready to party again. (and yes, that was all he slept today!)

-now I need a nap!

Happy Easter

We decided since it was such a gorgeous day on Friday, that we should do a little Easter photo shoot with Abel since we know Sunday might be really tough…but what were we really thinking…any day is TOUGH when shooting a WILD/VERY ACTIVE TODDLER! Abel doesn’t stop moving ever!

After some sweat, stress, and lots of chasing…we managed to pull off these. Enjoy!

The first shot…after this it went downhill.

Daddy Seth got home early and was able to help me or else this shoot would have been a wash.

Something about this picture gives me a glimpse of what he might look like when he is older.

The only smile we got (that is when he wasn’t throwing rocks in the creek!)

Yes, the Easter outfit got totally muddy.

He really is blowing the flower, even though it looks like he is eating it.

I forgot to tell you, our buddy Owen thought it was a good idea to wear his tie to the park too.

We finally decided that was enough pictures and headed home. Sure enough, Abel FINALLY decided to sit down! Seth grabbed the camera back out for another round.

You gotta love this one. All dressed up and picking his nose…with mom’s hand trying to stop him! hahahaha!

Happy Easter!

Life Lately

I thought I should pop on the computer and blog since I probably will be mia for awhile. The fam is heading up to MASS for a vacay next week. I’m so excited because me and the hubby are staying at this really sweet B&B (thanks to the Heagys) in the Berkshires for two nights while our little man gets some special time with his Nana & Papa. Then we are staying up there for the rest of the week to just spend time with Seth’s family.

Not too much going on here, just been working a lot lately. (for me that is. Most working moms wouldn’t think so.) Business comes in waves and I’ve been riding a big wave lately. I’m still a STAY AT HOME MOM first, then a business owner. (That means working some nights and weekends, but I get to stay home with my little man and that is such a BLESSING!) Just this afternoon as we were eating our grill cheese sandwiches, I thanked God that we could be together. I am cherishing this time (even the terrible two moments) because I know it will soon slip away.

The camera has been out a lot, but not on my little man (I’m sure he is happy about that). I’ve been shooting a bunch of different events. Here is a sneak peak of what I’ve been up to lately.
