I realized I hadn’t posted a picture of Sage in her new brace. Let me just say my girl is a CHAMP! She is awesome and even though she is so confined, this girl rocks her brace and is so happy and content all day long. Sage Everleigh has made our lives so much fuller and richer! I had NO IDEA what my heart was missing! Sage is our gem and our family is so much better because of her.
So….here it is…not so bad from the front….

It’s hard to keep anything snapped between her brace, chubby thighs and a cloth diaper. And to be honest, I don’t really care. I have enough to worry.

She looks like a little present in this sleeper!

Here is the doozie part…

Yep, cold hard metal folks!

Now you can understand why Sage is up all night long. Nights are pretty brutal and some days I feel so sick from the lack of sleep I get, but we are hanging on. I pray (and cry out to God) for help each day. I couldn’t do this without God. God knew Sage could handle it so that means I can handle it.
Needless to say, she can’t fit in any baby seat since her badonkadonk is so big due to this brace. However, Momma Juju saved the day! I figured a new seat out that works great. She can play and watch her big brother and that makes Sagee-poo a very happy girl. She at least thinks it’s pretty awesome. It’s her boppy pillow, with another pillow underneath propped up by a chair.

I joined a group online of moms of Hip Dysplasia kids. It’s nice to know I am not the only one out there going through this. My prayer is that through this journey God is taking us on, that I can be a help and encouragement to other moms going through this type of situation.
In other news…we got our first snow.

Abel probably ate about 2 gallons worth of snow.

Realized we didn’t have snow pants that fit, so I squeezed him into these ones from last year. ha!

“Abel, can I get your picture?”…apparently not…

Sage just being so sweet and calm! Thank you GOD for a calm baby!

And I a captured a sneeze…so cute!

Sage’s next doctor’s appointment is Jan. 3. We would appreciate your prayers that we get a good report! THANKS!
