More Nickerson Studios back at you.
Steve & Priscilla will be tying the knot in March, but first an engagement shoot was needed. They just got engaged in November so their engagement period isn’t that long, which I think is great. If you can plan a wedding quickly, power to you! Thankfully, we were able to squeeze in a session during Christmas break on a very chilly New England evening. Not only was it extremely cold, but it was dark by the time we met up with them so we had to get creative on where we could go to take their photos.
Honestly, I think the best photographers are those who can take any situation and make it a work of art. We love to be challenged and this was certainly a bit challenging for us, but it was great for us to be removed from our comfort zone. The only way to get better at what you do is to be tested and challenged.
Seth and I have known Steve since college. He and Seth lived on the same dorm and I always hear about their “dorm life” stories. I just recently met Priscilla, but we think she is absolutely perfect for Steve! I love her laid back and go with the flow personality. I’m sure their wedding will be lots of fun.
Enjoy a little Steve & Priscilla love….
We first started out at an old restaurant near Seth’s parents’ house called The Old Mill. It was dark and lots of people were out so we had to avoid the crowds. You wouldn’t know it, but this shot was right next to the bathrooms! ha!

We actually braved the cold for this one shot.

We then bundled ourselves up and headed to a nearby library. Steve and Priscilla love books, so it was a fitting location.

This is really a library! Don’t you love the architecture!

And yes, we got ask a few times from the people in the library what we doing. When we said an engagement session, they looked at us like we were crazy.

Stay tuned for their March wedding!

Fabulous!!! I love the library setting for 2 book lovers!!!!
P.S. Thanks for the link to softbums. I’ve been considering cloth diapering for a couple months. I’d never heard of this particular brand, and it seems to be the best on the market.
